Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable API automation frameworks using Karate.

• Create and execute end-to-end automated test scripts for API, web, and mobile applications using Appium, Selenium, or related tools.

• Execute, optimize, and maintain automated test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines.

• Analyze, debug, and troubleshoot application and server logs to identify root causes of defects.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure effective test coverage and timely defect resolution.

• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate backend workflows and data integrity.

• Perform manual testing when required to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Track, manage, and report defects using tools such as JIRA, Git, or similar platforms.

• Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics dashboards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in API Automation, with at least 3 years using Karate.

• Experience with Appium, Selenium, or equivalent automation frameworks.

• Proficiency in Java or JavaScript for automation scripting and logic development.

• Strong debugging and analytical skills to investigate application and server logs.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and backend data validation.

• Experience with Git, Jenkins, or similar version control and CI/CD tools.

• Ability to balance automation and manual testing responsibilities effectively.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on Banking or Payments domain projects.

• Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, SOAP UI, or similar API tools.

• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and containerized test execution.

Work Mode

Hybrid – Candidates are expected to work from the Pune office 2–3 days per week.
