Job Description

About the RoleMadhukunj Agarbatti is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to lead the Gold Division across Odisha. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market reach, strengthening distributor relationships, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies within the assigned territory.
Key ResponsibilitiesAchieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
Appoint and develop distributors, dealers, and retail networks.
Manage and guide Sales Officers and field sales representatives.
Increase product availability and visibility across retail outlets.
Execute trade schemes, promotional activities, and market campaigns.
Conduct regular market visits to monitor sales performance and competitor activities.
Build strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers.
Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from distributors.
Monitor stock availability and coordinate with supply chain for uninterrupted sales.
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to management.
Identify new business opportunities and expand market penetration across Odisha.
Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate the field sales team.
EligibilityGraduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
5–8 years of FMCG sales experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager or equivalent.
Experience handling distributors and field sales teams.
Strong knowledge of the Odisha FMCG market.
Experience in Agarbatti, FMCG, Personal Care, Food, or Consumer Goods will be preferred.
Required SkillsExcellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong distributor and channel management abilities.
Target-oriented with strong negotiation skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel extensively across Odisha.
Proficient in MS Excel and sales reporting.
