Job Description

The Accountant is responsible for managing the organization’s financial records, accounting transactions, statutory compliances, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. The role ensures accurate bookkeeping, timely preparation of financial statements, compliance with applicable tax regulations, and effective financial control to support business operations and decision-making.Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and financial transactions.
Record and reconcile all receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions.
Prepare and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
Process vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and customer receipts.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow on a regular basis.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in the preparation of Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
Manage GST compliance, including preparation and filing of GST returns.
Ensure timely deduction and deposit of TDS and preparation of related returns.
Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Maintain records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
Verify invoices, purchase orders, expense claims, and supporting documentation.
Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up for timely collections.
Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
Support payroll processing and statutory compliance activities when required.
