Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Distribution Management: Oversee the primary and secondary sales processes through local stockists and distributors.
Retail Coverage: Conduct daily market visits (General Trade/Modern Trade) to secure orders, expand product reach, and manage store-level stock.
Merchandising: Ensure brand visibility by securing prime shelf spaces and implementing Point-of-Sale (POS) marketing materials.
Relationship Building: Establish trust with retail owners, managing credit cycles, collections, and resolving customer complaints.
Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing, schemes, and activities while reporting sales trends to management. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Core Competencies
Target Orientation: A proven track record of meeting or exceeding volume and revenue targets.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to convince retailers on bulk buying and stock placement.
Geographical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with local demographics (e.g., key retail hubs and consumer behaviors across Pune and Maharashtra).
Communication: Multilingual ability (English, Hindi, and Marathi for connect with diverse store owners. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Min. HSC
Experience: 2 to 3 years of direct field sales experience, particularly within consumer goods (Food & Beverage, Personal Care, etc.).
Requirements: A valid driver’s license and two-wheeler/vehicle for daily travel in the assigned territory.
