Technical Architect -Backend(Node.js)

looking for a highly experienced Technical Architect – Backend (Node.js) to lead the design, development, and deployment of large-scale, high-performance enterprise applications. This role requires a deep technical background, strong architectural expertise, and the ability to guide teams toward building robust, scalable, and secure systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and oversee development of large-scale enterprise applications with active user bases of 3–5+ million.

• Work across multiple technologies (Node.js, PHP, Python, Java/J2EE, etc.) to deliver high-quality backend solutions.

• Collaborate across all stages of the software development lifecycle, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.

• Design scalable frontend-integrated systems; hands-on knowledge of ReactJS, Angular, and Bootstrap is a plus.

• Lead structured and unstructured database architecture with technologies like MySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, and more.

• Work with data-heavy systems including search engines, data integration platforms, recommendation systems using Elasticsearch, Solr, etc.

• Implement performance optimization techniques using caching, queuing, and logging tools such as Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and others.

• Build and maintain applications using multi-tier architecture and distributed system designs.

• Manage large data transactions, ensure data integrity, implement batch processing, and design data sharding solutions.

• Develop high-volume, low-latency, mission-critical applications ensuring top-tier performance.

• Work with multithreaded, distributed, and concurrent system architectures.

• Architect cloud-native solutions using AWS, GCP, and infrastructure services like VPC, EC2, ELB, EBS, S3, Route53, and ELK.

• Implement infrastructure as code for scalable and automated deployments.

• Establish secure communication protocols over HTTP/HTTPS, TCP, and UDP.

• Apply strong knowledge of version control systems and branching strategies.

• Identify and resolve critical security vulnerabilities using OWASP, CWE/SANS, and other security frameworks.

• Drive innovation, best practices, and engineering excellence across the development team.

• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and sound decision-making.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Deep knowledge of modern databases, web services, and big data technologies.

• Ability to evaluate algorithmic and code complexity (time, space, cyclomatic complexity).

• Willingness to support production through on-call rotations, DR processes, and emergency response.

• Understanding of domain-specific standards like HL7/HIPAA for healthcare and PCI compliance for financial systems.

• Familiarity with secure authentication frameworks such as OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, team management, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 7–10 years of diverse and progressive experience in the software industry.

• 8–9 years of hands-on experience building and scaling enterprise-level applications.
