hiring a dynamic Business Development (Pre-Sales Executive) to join our core team and drive client acquisition for our e-commerce and digital solutions division. CommerceX, based in Gurgaon, is a leading provider of cutting-edge e-commerce and digital marketing solutions. We are looking for a strategic, growth-oriented professional to strengthen our business development function with market-competitive salaries, attractive incentives, and potential equity participation.
Conduct in-depth market research to identify buying/selling trends, emerging categories, and new business opportunities.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of direct clients within the e-commerce and digital marketing ecosystem.
Negotiate commercials, budgets, and partnerships directly with large clients.
Understand client briefs thoroughly and craft precise, compelling proposals to drive successful closures.
Pitch a wide range of digital and e-commerce solutions confidently and effectively.
Lead and manage a small pan-India sales team (2–3 members), providing direction and mentorship.
Leverage strong industry relationships with direct clients in the e-commerce space to drive business growth.
Take ownership of decision-making and ensure all regional and national revenue targets are met.
Negotiate and finalize contracts while ensuring compliance with all guidelines and regulations.
Build strong relationships with industry professionals, competitors, vendors, and stakeholders.
Strengthen and expand client partnerships by understanding needs, developing case studies, and identifying up-sell opportunities.
Represent the company at conferences, industry events, and other business-building activities.
Support the collection team with client-related payment issues when required.
3–5 years of relevant experience in e-commerce or digital marketing (mandatory).
Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-building skills.
Strong analytical abilities and comfort with discussing data, marketing spends, and performance metrics with clients.
Experience managing and grooming a small, distributed sales team.
Deep understanding of e-commerce and digital marketing operations, enabling seamless coordination with internal teams.
