Job Description: Java Developer

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Java Developer to contribute to the development of modern SaaS products. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and analytical skills, hands-on experience with Java-based technologies, and the ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

You should be eager to learn new technologies, adapt to evolving systems, and work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend systems, APIs, and web services

• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions

• Participate in API integrations with external partners

• Review peer code, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs

• Mentor junior engineers and support sprint goals in collaboration with leads and managers

• Document development processes, define APIs, and monitor application performance

• Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy and manage applications in production environments

• Apply security best practices to protect applications from common vulnerabilities

• Implement data encryption and decryption techniques to enhance application security

Technical Competencies

• Unit testing and development in one or more programming languages (Java, C#, etc.)

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and system analysis

• Experience working in an Agile development environment

• Proficiency in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA)

• Practical application of design patterns

• Understanding of non-functional requirements such as scalability, resilience, and maintainability

• Familiarity with behavior-driven testing techniques

Key Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience developing production-grade Java applications in a B2B SaaS environment

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Java Developer

• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related frameworks

• Experience working with microservices architecture

• Proficiency in relational databases such as PostgreSQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB

• Experience with queueing and messaging systems such as Apache MQ and Kafka

• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and distributed systems

• Strong experience with JUnit for automated testing

• Familiarity with design patterns and DSA

• Preferred: experience in payments, fintech, or accounts payable domains

• Nice to have: basic knowledge of ReactJS for frontend collaboration

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to anticipate challenges and propose effective solutions
