Job Description: Android Developer

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Android Developer to help build and scale modern SaaS-based mobile applications. The ideal candidate is technically strong, solution-oriented, and eager to learn and adapt to new technologies. You will work closely with product, design, backend, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality Android applications with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications

• Integrate and manage APIs from internal and external services

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and production issues in line with SLAs

• Work closely with engineering leads to achieve sprint goals and timelines

• Document development processes, features, and technical decisions

• Optimize application performance, stability, and responsiveness

• Support DevOps teams during deployment and production monitoring

• Ensure application security by following best practices and industry standards

• Implement data encryption and decryption techniques to enhance application security

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience with the Android SDK for building Android applications

• Ability to support multiple Android versions and screen sizes

• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin

• Experience using version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket

• Strong understanding of XML layouts for intuitive and user-friendly UI design

• Experience writing comprehensive test cases for quality assurance

• Proficiency in asynchronous programming using Coroutines

• Experience handling reactive data streams using LiveData

• Strong understanding of MVVM architecture (MVP knowledge is a plus)

• Experience with Dependency Injection frameworks

• Familiarity with RxJava and reactive programming concepts

Additional Technical Expertise

• Unit testing and coding in one or more languages (e.g., Java, C#)

• Strong foundation in Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and analysis

• Experience applying design patterns

• Understanding of non-functional qualities such as scalability, resilience, and maintainability

• Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Testing (BDD) techniques

• Hands-on experience with Git or other version control systems
