Backend Developer

Backend Senior Developer 

seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer (Python) to join our technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance cloud-based solutions. You’ll play a key role in architecting robust applications using modern Python frameworks and AWS services.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications

  • Architect and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services

  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to deploy and manage applications in the cloud

  • Build and maintain microservices independently with a strong focus on performance and reliability

  • Optimize applications for scalability, speed, and fault tolerance

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with Python backend development

  • Working knowledge of Git, JIRA, and Confluence

  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)

  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture

  • Experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Python development

  • Strong understanding of software design principles and best practices

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools

  • Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant developer or cloud certifications

  • Experience with serverless architectures (AWS SAM, Serverless Framework)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Travis CI, AWS CodePipeline)

  • Basic knowledge of frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js

  • Experience with additional programming languages like JavaScript, Go, or Java
