Job Description

ROLE AT A GLANCE
Function: Business Development & Artist Relations
Location: Mumbai — Full-time, On-site
Experience: 3–5 years (Negotiable)
Reports To: CEO / Senior Leadership
Start Date: Immediate

RESPONSIBILITIES
Artist Acquisition
Own the artist acquisition pipeline from first contact to signed agreement
Proactively identify and reach out to independent vocalists, musicians, and emerging artists across YouTube, Instagram, and music communities
Conduct discovery conversations to assess artist readiness and fit
Manage pipeline data with clear status tracking and weekly reporting to the CEO

Artist Onboarding & Relations
Lead the full onboarding experience — introductory session, expectations briefing, and team introductions
Serve as the primary point of contact for artists throughout their engagement
Build trust-based, long-term relationships with artists — not transactional ones
Identify and resolve friction points early — scheduling, communication gaps, unmet expectations

Outreach & Partnerships
Represent Kailasa Records at open mics, showcases, music events, and college festivals
Identify and develop B2B opportunities — colleges, talent platforms, music communities — to expand the artist referral network
Draft artist-facing proposals, decks, and follow-up communications

Digital Marketing Support
Collaborate with the marketing team on social media campaigns targeting independent artists
Contribute to content strategy — artist spotlights, programme explainers, and platform-specific outreach content
Track campaign performance and use data to refine targeting and messaging
