Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer having practical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding operations, production handling, and machine shop activities. The candidate will be responsible for supervising production activities, maintaining quality standards, handling manpower, and ensuring timely completion of fabrication work.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day production and fabrication activities.
Handle sheet metal fabrication works including cutting, bending, shearing, and assembly.
Operate and supervise:
MIG Welding
TIG Welding
Spot Welding
Arc Welding
Monitor press machine and bending machine operations.
Read and understand fabrication drawings and production layouts.
Ensure production targets are achieved within timelines.
Maintain welding quality and dimensional accuracy.
Manage production manpower and machine utilization.
Coordinate with quality and dispatch departments.
Maintain safety standards and shop floor discipline.
Monitor raw material usage and reduce production wastage.
Prepare daily production reports and machine maintenance records.
Required Skills
Knowledge of:
Sheet Metal Works
MIG Welding
TIG Welding
Spot Welding
Shearing Machine
Bending Machine
Power Press Machine
Fabrication & Assembly
Ability to handle production teams.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD drawings preferred.
Understanding of fabrication measurements and tolerances.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Qualification
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
ITI candidates with strong experience may also apply
Experience
3–8 years experience in fabrication or sheet metal industry preferred.
