Backend Developer – Node.js

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer (Node.js) to design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Node.js, API development, databases, and cloud technologies, and will work closely with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and Express.js

• Build and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs with frontend applications

• Design and optimize database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB

• Ensure efficient data flow, including authentication, authorization, caching, and security

• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and frontend developers

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes

• Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS cloud services

Required Skills & Expertise

Backend Development

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js

• Expertise in RESTful API and GraphQL development

• Experience using API clients such as Axios or Fetch

• Strong database knowledge with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB

• Experience implementing authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, etc.)

DevOps & Cloud

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka

• Working knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch

• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools

• AWS certification is a plus

Professional Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Ability to work effectively in Agile and collaborative team environments

• Good communication skills and attention to code quality and performance
