Job DescriptionPosition: Executive / Senior Executive – Operational Excellence
Manufacturing Unit

Role SummaryWe are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Operational Excellence Executive to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will champion Process Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Change Management while partnering with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost optimization.

The role requires a hands-on professional with experience in manufacturing operations, process improvement, Lean methodologies, and shop-floor excellence.
Key Responsibilities1. Process ExcellenceDrive Operational Excellence initiatives across the manufacturing plant.
Act as a change leader by challenging existing processes and implementing best operational practices.
Facilitate brainstorming sessions to generate and implement innovative process improvement ideas.
Lead plant-wide process mapping, process control, and process management initiatives.
Establish process monitoring, benchmarking, and performance measurement systems.
Define process ownership and ensure process standardization across departments.
Benchmark manufacturing processes against industry best practices.
Identify and monitor key KRAs and KPIs across functional departments.
Collaborate with Plant Leadership to identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans.
Mentor Continuous Improvement project teams using Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Design Thinking, PDCA, and other improvement methodologies.
Support the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance with internal and external standards.
2. Change Management & 5S ImplementationLead the implementation and sustainability of the 5S methodology across manufacturing units.
Prepare implementation plans, visual management systems, and workplace standards.
Conduct employee training programs on 5S principles and workplace organization.
Perform periodic 5S audits and monitor sustainability.
Track implementation milestones against project timelines.
Organize awareness campaigns and improvement events to strengthen the 5S culture.
Provide periodic progress reports and recommendations to management.
3. Kaizen & Continuous ImprovementConduct Kaizen training sessions for production and shop-floor employees.
Facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops.
Review and evaluate improvement ideas submitted by operational teams.
Lead problem-solving activities using Lean Manufacturing and Quality tools.
Develop improvement strategies in collaboration with Operational Excellence leaders.
Track Operational Excellence metrics and identify future improvement opportunities.
Provide timely updates on ongoing and completed improvement projects.
Drive a PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) culture throughout the organization.
Promote a customer-centric culture through continuous operational improvements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Improvement in Factory Utilization Rate
Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement (Target: 85%)
Achievement and sustenance of Modern-Level Shop Floor 5S Score
Number of Continuous Improvement Projects completed using VSM, QC Tools, Lean, and Six Sigma
Safety & Compliance score above 90%
Cost Reduction through Kaizen initiatives
Maintenance and optimization of Standard Allowed Minute (SAM) cost
Key Responsibilities & AuthorityProcessImprove operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Approve Operational Excellence, IMS, and EHS initiatives within assigned areas.
Support effective implementation of Daily Work Management Systems (DWMS).
PeopleBuild employee motivation through engagement and recognition initiatives.
Enhance workforce capability through skill development and training programs.
Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
Desired Candidate ProfileExperience3–6 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Excellence, or Continuous Improvement.
Experience in Greenfield projects will be an added advantage.
Educational QualificationBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Manufacturing, or related discipline).
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification is preferred.
