Progress OpenEdge/4GL Consultant  

We are seeking an experienced Progress OpenEdge / 4GL Consultant to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will bring strong programming expertise, analytical skills, and hands-on experience in building and maintaining high-quality enterprise applications using Progress 4GL and OpenEdge technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Progress OpenEdge / 4GL (GUI)

• Write efficient, scalable, and well-structured code following best practices

• Perform code and design reviews to ensure quality and maintainability

• Understand business and technical requirement documents and translate them into effective solutions

• Design and implement server-side logic using AppServer and related components

• Apply knowledge of OOABL concepts in application development

• Use basic UNIX commands for development and troubleshooting activities

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery timelines

• Collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong programming and analytical skills in Progress 4GL / OpenEdge

• Hands-on experience with GUI-based application development

• Good understanding of AppServer architecture and server-side calls

• Experience in application design, development, and maintenance

• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables efficiently

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
