Job Description: QA Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer who will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding functional requirements, designing test scenarios, and executing manual test cases to deliver high-quality software.

You will work closely with developers and product managers, actively contribute to the product development lifecycle, and ensure defects are identified, tracked, and resolved using industry-standard tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design clear, detailed, and effective test plans and test cases

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical documents to provide timely feedback

• Identify, document, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA

• Apply best practices in software quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes

• Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum development environment

• Analyze, reproduce, and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues

• Test iOS and Android mobile applications to ensure functionality and performance

• Act as an independent contributor and represent the product quality standards

• Perform basic log analysis and debugging in QA environments when required

Key Skills & Experience Required

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in manual testing

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

• Experience with test and defect management tools such as JIRA and Zephyr

• Domain knowledge in Fintech is preferred

• Experience in API testing

• Proficiency in managing test cases, execution cycles, and defect tracking

• Experience with multiple testing types including Sanity, Smoke, Regression, UAT, Compatibility, and Test Case Writing

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and represent product quality

• Experience communicating effectively with stakeholders

• Ability to generate daily, weekly, and monthly testing status reports

Technical Competencies (Good to Have)

• Basic experience with unit testing and coding in one or more languages (e.g., Java, C#)

• Understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and system analysis

• Knowledge of software design patterns

• Awareness of non-functional quality attributes such as performance, resilience, and maintainability

• Familiarity with behavior-driven testing techniques

• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, or other version control systems
