Job Description
An Agency Development Manager (ADM) is a sales leadership role, primarily prominent in the insurance, financial, and advertising sectors. The ADM is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a team of agents to drive revenue and achieve regional sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Agent Recruitment: Proactively build a team of agents/advisors through personal networking, field activities, and references.
Training & Mentorship: Equip agents with strong product knowledge and sales skills. This often involves conducting joint field sales calls to mentor them.
Performance Management: Track agent productivity, monitor sales metrics, and conduct regular performance reviews to meet monthly and annual targets.
Compliance & Licensing: Guide new agents through licensing processes (e.g., IRDAI in India) and ensure all sales practices adhere to company and regulatory guidelines
Typical Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree .
Experience: 1+ years of experience in sales, relationship management
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, team leadership, and a strong drive for achieving aggressive sales targets.
Mobility: Willingness to engage in field work and travel within the local region to support agents

A Bancassurance Relationship Manager (RM) drives insurance sales through bank branches. They act as a bridge between the insurer and the bank, training branch staff, generating leads, and cross-selling life, health, and investment products to bank customers.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue: Achieve monthly and annual premium/revenue targets by selling policies to the bank’s existing customer base.
Staff Training & Motivation: Train branch managers, tellers, and financial advisors on insurance products, sales pitches, and regulatory compliance.
Lead Generation: Generate new leads by conducting joint sales calls with branch staff and analyzing customer financial profiles.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with bank employees and regional heads to ensure insurance remains a top priority (high “mind share”).

Typical Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: 1 to 5 years of proven sales or relationship management experience, preferably in banking, financial services, or insurance (BFSI).
Skills: Strong consultative selling skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and a deep understanding of financial products.
