Job Description – Manager (Restaurant & Rooftop Operations) Position General Manager – Restaurant, Rooftop Café & Events
LocationFaridabad, Haryana
Reporting ToOwners / Directors
Purpose of the RoleThe General Manager shall be responsible for the overall management, growth, profitability, customer experience, staff performance, marketing coordination, and operational excellence of the restaurant, rooftop café/lounge, and event business.
Key Responsibilities

1. Business OperationsManage day-to-day operations of the restaurant and rooftop venue.
Ensure smooth functioning of kitchen, service, housekeeping, and guest relations.
Monitor opening and closing procedures.
Ensure compliance with all operational SOPs.

2. Revenue & ProfitabilityAchieve monthly revenue and profitability targets.
Increase table occupancy and average customer spend.
Develop strategies to improve weekday business and rooftop utilization.
Monitor food cost, beverage cost, wastage, and operating expenses.
Submit weekly and monthly business performance reports.

3. Events & Banquet SalesDevelop and promote birthday parties, anniversaries, corporate events, kitty parties, and private gatherings.
Build relationships with local corporates, schools, clubs, and resident welfare associations.
Achieve monthly event booking targets.
Coordinate event execution from inquiry to completion.

4. Customer ExperienceEnsure exceptional guest satisfaction.
Address customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Monitor online reviews and customer feedback.
Maintain service standards and hospitality culture.

5. Team ManagementRecruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff.
Prepare duty rosters and manpower plans.
Conduct regular staff training programs.
Monitor employee discipline, grooming, and performance.

6. Sales & MarketingWork with digital marketing agencies and social media teams.
Plan promotional campaigns, food festivals, live music nights, and special events.
Increase visibility on social media and food delivery platforms.
Develop local marketing initiatives to attract repeat customers.

7. Inventory & ProcurementMonitor inventory levels and stock movement.
Prevent pilferage and wastage.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors.
Ensure timely procurement and cost control.

8. Compliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with FSSAI, fire safety, labour laws, excise regulations, and local authority requirements.
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Conduct periodic safety audits.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Monthly revenue achievement.
Gross profit margin.
Food cost percentage.
Beverage cost percentage.
Number of event bookings.
Customer satisfaction ratings.
Online review ratings.
Staff retention.
Reduction in wastage and pilferage.
Growth in repeat customers.
Desired Qualifications Graduate in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurant, lounge, hotel F&B, or hospitality operations.
Experience managing a team of 15+ employees.
Proven experience in revenue generation and event sales.
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Preferred ExperienceExperience in rooftop restaurants, lounges, cafés, or banquet operations.
Experience in NCR hospitality market.
Existing relationships with event planners, corporates, and hospitality vendors.
Compensation StructureFixed Salary.
Performance-linked monthly incentive.
Annual performance bonus based on revenue and profitability targets.

Expected OutcomeThe General Manager shall be responsible for transforming the venue into a leading dining, rooftop, and event destination in Faridabad while achieving sustainable revenue growth and operational profitability.
