Job Description – Senior Full Stack Developer Position – Senior Full Stack Developer – PHP / Laravel Experience – 5+ Years Employment Type – Full-Time / Permanent Job Overview We are looking for an experienced **Senior Full Stack Developer** who can independently handle the development, enhancement, maintenance, security and performance of web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with **PHP, Laravel, MySQL/SQL and MongoDB**, along with good knowledge of frontend development and API integration. The person should be capable of understanding an existing application/codebase, identifying technical issues, making architectural improvements and developing new modules without depending heavily on other developers. ### Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain web applications using **PHP and Laravel**. * Work extensively with **MySQL/SQL databases** and **MongoDB**. * Develop and integrate **REST APIs** and third-party APIs. * Work on both backend and frontend components of applications. * Understand and modify existing applications and databases. * Design efficient database structures, queries and relationships. * Improve application **performance, scalability and security**. * Identify and fix bugs, coding issues and security vulnerabilities. * Implement authentication, authorization and role-based access. * Develop reusable, clean and maintainable code. * Handle database optimization and large-volume data processing. * Work with Git/version control and proper development practices. * Coordinate with management/business teams to understand requirements and convert them into technical solutions. * Take ownership of assigned modules from **development to deployment**. * Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards. * Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions. ### Required Technical Skills **Backend** * PHP – Strong hands-on experience * Laravel – Strong experience * REST API development * MVC architecture * OOP concepts * Authentication & authorization **Database** * MySQL / SQL – Advanced knowledge * MongoDB – Good practical experience * Complex queries, joins, indexing and database optimization * Database design and performance tuning **Frontend** * HTML5 * CSS3 * JavaScript * jQuery * AJAX * Bootstrap or similar frontend framework **Other** * Git / GitHub / GitLab * API integration * JSON * Linux/server basics * Basic knowledge of deployment and production environments * Web application security ### Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who: * Has **5+ years of real-world development experience**. * Can work independently on an existing and complex application. * Can understand existing code quickly and improve it. * Has strong problem-solving and debugging skills. * Understands both frontend and backend development. * Has experience working with both **SQL and NoSQL databases**. * Can take technical ownership rather than only completing assigned coding tasks. * Can communicate clearly with management and explain technical issues in simple terms. ### Preferred * Experience with large-scale or enterprise web applications. * Experience handling high-volume databases/data. * Knowledge of application security and secure coding practices. * Experience with cloud/server environments such as AWS/Azure. * Knowledge of Redis, queues, caching and background jobs. * Experience with Docker is a plus. ### Important **This is not a junior/mid-level coding position.
