Senior Manual QA Engineer

for a detail-oriented and quality-focused QA / Software Test Engineer with strong experience in manual, API, and database testing. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of testing methodologies, Agile practices, and the complete software testing lifecycle, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Priority Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, and Database Testing.

• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodology.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Thorough knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

• Proven experience in writing Test Cases, Test Scenarios, and Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).

• Familiarity with test management tools such as Quality Center, Jira, TestRail, or similar.

• Experience with requirement and bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, Asana, Zoho, etc.

• Strong experience in Database Testing, including writing and executing SQL queries.

• Practical knowledge of API testing techniques and tools.

• Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor.

• Experience in mobile application testing will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for new features and regression testing.

• Participate in requirement and design review discussions to provide early QA insights and risk identification.

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing on web and/or mobile applications.

• Identify, log, track, and report defects using tools like Jira, and coordinate closely with development teams for resolution.

• Prepare and maintain QA documentation including test cases, test reports, and defect logs.

• Mentor and guide junior QA team members, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.

• Continuously review and enhance QA processes and recommend opportunities for test automation.

• Collaborate with development, product, and support teams to ensure timely and high-quality software releases.
